After living in a rented town home, a 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment and a mice infested basement over the course of 3.5 years (by a few months). We (my husband and I) finally (FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY) bought a house. We looked for a bit and...I wasn't feelin' anything. That was, until we walked into this beauty:

I mean, this is Norther VA...we consider it a total act of God that we were able to even buy a single family home. It was on the market for months. THE week (literally, we had only been looking for 2 weeks when we walked into this baby) we looked at it was the week the bank dropped the price into our price range. Then, four other people put in bids for the house. We had AWESOME realtors who advised us how to look like the best candidates because we were. And then...the band accepted!
And then reality set in:
