NYC Recap. Aaand It Was Aaaaamazeeeeee

NYC was so fun. In my opinion, what makes a great trip is where you stay. If you are uncomfortable with where you're sleeping and relaxing (especially in NYC where VERY few places are actually "relaxing", than it's going to be an uncomfortable trip. Thankfully, my husband feels this way even MORE than me. :)

(Warning: this is photo heavy)

Enter, The Roger Hotel:
{One of the windows at The Roger ... cute right?!}

The Roger is a boutique hotel in the Flatiron district in Manhattan and it was aaaaamaaaazing.

{these are the beautiful floors in the Lobby}
{Another view of the Lobby. See the continuation of the beautiful floors? Love!}
{The hallway to our room}
{Door to our room...sweet, sweet room 1507}
{The hallway...in our hotel room. I love my husband}
{Continuation of hallway}
{the bathroom}
{in the shower}
{loved the mosaic marble tile}
{I don't normally do this, but I took the notepad and the stationary provided...SO. CUTE}
{I will NEVER stay at ANY other place in NYC. Love The Roger!}
{This was above the bed}

{We had a corner room with two views}
{I love him :) }
 The next day we did some major shopping...we went into many flagship stores. Tory Burch, J Crew, Louis Vuitton, Cole Haan and Barreta where all stores we visited.

And then there was lunch. We HAD to have some gourmet pizza at L'asso in Little Italy.
Oh my goodness, I'm so glad this restaurant isn't in NOVA.
Or I would eat there at LEAST every week.
{I had to have some Prosecco while Cory had some of their specialty beer}

{Yuuuuuummmmmm}
The next day we went to do something EXTRA tourist-y. In all my years of visiting NYC, I've never gone to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island...so, that's what my sweet husband took me to do.

{restrooms at Ellis Island. These were original}

{LOOK at this ceiling! Herringbone tile on a curved ceiling. This is art!!}

{Battery Park}

{Down in the Financial District}

{Deserted Subway...glad I had a man with me!!}

Oh, and I think I forgot to mention...we had diner at Benjamin Steakhouse

The. BEST. Steak. In. The. North. America. Continent.

{My husband requested a table in the corner, quite, not in a walkway and with a view. He knows me so well!!}
{This is the genius called "Steak for Two"}
{We ended dinner with Cheescake. I've tried a lot of cheescake in NYC. This was the best. I'd have it for breakfast every single day}
This was such an amazing weekend. Thank you, dear husband.
